Took a quick trip up to Yosemite after work this past weekend. I hated the idea of wasting driving 12 hours for merely 18 hours in nature. But as soon as I got out of the car, smelled the campfires, and heard the sounds of nature… it didn’t matter anymore. Took a quick trip up to Yosemite after work this past weekend. Even if it was only for a short while.. being able to “disconnect” from work and my “responsibilities” in life was so refreshing. I need to remember that “self-care” is just as important as helping others.
